One version of smart denotes intelligence by displaying fast-paced wit. Neo-smart is the installation and application of technology in otherwise static objects. Coincidentally the first intelligent board was made by SMART in 1987. The smart board. Not all smart things are from SMART.

My eyes are big fans of intelligent lighting. I have some cheap tech that controls my lights as my alarm sounds, gently warming my room with light over 1 minute as my eyes adjust. It’s brilliant tech. I have no intention of automating all kinds of things, but that is a morning changer.

I compare it to the first time I woke up to the smell of coffee brewing a timer. I was so excited that a cup was awaiting me; it felt like my birthday. That was decades ago, and I expected to see more useful technology included in coffee makers.

We had video games, but not like today. The reason we did not sit for days playing them was their quality. The graphics and user interfaces now require you to find comfortable gaming chairs to support you for your hobby. Talk about furniture and tech fusion. High-tech gaming, lounge and office chairs will help you multi-task by engaging more of your senses.

Bringing a big cinema feel into our family rooms has never been easier, but it still is not cheap. Curved screens and QLED panel monitors offer supreme picture quality, and you can cast any media to them from other devices.

A smart sofa is one that fits my full length and width, but today it means more. Many people have an endless need to stay plugged in. Chargers and speakers can be concealed within your sofa to level up your entertainment or relaxation emersion.

One category of smart-tech many people overlook is in security. You can install a compact digital lens system in moments and access it around the world. Lock doors, operate lights, communicate with people around your property, or call authorities as needed and record everything in the cloud for safety.

What makes an object “smart”? I need to see more than a USB Charger. It has to be interactive on some level with technology, providing an additional (not normally enjoyed) comfort or utility.

If I have a well-trained Huntaway, they are smart. If it can fetch me a coldie; it is Brilliant.
